Holy Family Regional Catholic School Uniform Frequently Asked Questions
1. What style/color sneakers are to be worn with the optional summer uniform and the gym uniform?
Students may wear sneakers of any color, however all sneakers must have shoelaces that are to be tied at all times. High-top and slip-on sneakers are not permitted.
2. If a student does not wear the shorts as part of the summer uniform may he or she still wear the polo shirt with the boys’ pants or the girls’ skirt/kilt?

However, sneakers may only be worn with the shorts (please see question 3 below for more detail on footwear for the summer uniform). Please note that students may only wear the polo shirts until the formal winter uniforms take effect in early November.
3. What are the requirements for footwear if a student chooses to wear the polo shirt with the boys’ pants or the girls’ skirt/kilt (instead of the shorts) as the summer uniform?
Male students are required to wear black-tie dress shoes with non-marking, non-scuff soles and black socks. Female students are required to wear black Oxford or Mary Jane-style shoes with non-marking, non-scuff soles and wine knee socks. SADDLE SHOES ARE NOT PERMITTED!
4. Are belts a requirement of the school uniforms?
Yes, all students wearing the summer uniform shorts are required to wear a black belt within the belt loops, and male students are required to wear a black belt within the belt loops when wearing the formal winter uniform.
