VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

The success of our school greatly depends on the efforts of our volunteers. Holy Family Regional Catholic School is always looking for parents, grandparents, parishioners and friends who can help us provide great things for our students by lending their time and talents. Volunteer opportunities cover a wide range of skills and time availability. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the Volunteer Interest Form and return it to school, c/o Sally Spinosa, Volunteer Coordinator. Please direct any questions you may have about volunteering to Mrs. Spinosa at sally.spinosa@hfrcs.org. We know you will find volunteering at Holy Family a rewarding experience!

Current Volunteers

Any volunteer who works at Holy Family on a regular basis and is in contact with our students (this would include lunch and pretzel volunteers, homeroom parents, Home and School Board members, office helpers, hall monitors, volunteer nurses, library and classroom aides, etc.) MUST submit their clearance forms to Volunteer Coordinator Sally Spinosa.

Please go to your home parish and request copies of your Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and Protecting God’s Children Certification. Submit all three documents in a sealed envelope to school, c/o Sally Spinosa, Volunteer Coordinator. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Spinosa at sally.spinosa@hfrcs.org. Please note that the Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Clearance must be renewed every five years.

New Volunteers

If you are new to volunteering and will be regularly involved in volunteer activities that require contact with students (this would include lunch and pretzel volunteers, homeroom parents, Home and School Board members, office helpers, hall monitors, volunteer nurses, library and classroom aides, etc.), you MUST follow these steps:

1. Print out and complete the Criminal Background Check Form, the Child Abuse Clearance Form, and the Act 24 Form. If you are unable to access these forms online, you may request hard copies by contacting Sally Spinosa at sally.spinosa@hfrcs.org.
   
   
2. Return the completed forms in a sealed envelope to school, c/o Sally Spinosa, Volunteer Coordinator. YOU DO NOT NEED TO SUBMIT ANY MONEY. Holy Family will pay the fee for these clearances.
   
   
3. The processed Child Abuse Clearance will be mailed to your residence. When you receive it, please return it to school, c/o Sally Spinosa, Volunteer Coordinator.
   
   
4. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia also requires all volunteers to complete the Protecting God’s Children Awareness Session in a timely fashion. These workshops are held frequently at different locations throughout the Archdiocese. Visit www.virtus.org to find a session being held locally and register online. You may also contact the Archdiocesan Virtus Coordinator at 215-587-2466 if you have any questions. After you complete the session, please provide the white copy of the certificate you receive at the end of the session to school, c/o Sally Spinosa, Volunteer Coordinator. You will only need to complete this session once.
